She's not a "big bad Conservative". Her political persuasion has nothing to do with it. She's a vile pig. Of course, I support her right to say whatever the hell she wants. But Conservatives are equally offended by her nonesense as Liberals and libertarians.
Your attempt to label libertarians and Liberals as less than "Real" Canadians is a colossal fail. -1

Her politics have nothing to do weather people like or dislike her, I dislike her because if there is a brain in her head then it does not relay signals to her mouth before she speaks, I lost interest in shock tactics loooong before she ever spoke a word in public.
I happen to know both liberals and conservatives that hate her.

Um, doesn't there have to be a crime first before there can be a hate crime? I didn't see anything in the letter that can be construed as harassment.
Nope. The human rights commissions are not criminal courts. They were set up as an attempt to bypass the courts, to make the process less adversorial. Instead they've become kangaroo courts. They can't imprison anybody, but can levy ruinous fines and use injunctions, that if not followed could have the person taken to criminal court.
Section 13 is about the transmission of hate messages via phone or internet. If someone feels your statements exposed them to hatred or contempt they can take you to the human rights commission. That's why under this section, the commissions had a 100% guilty rate. That and something like 98% of the cases were brought by one person, a former employee of the ontario hrc, who was on a mission. A Canadian hrc member has recently ruled section 13 unconstitutional, which kind of leaves it in the air.

I don't think she has much of a case, based on the alleged remarks of the University of Ottawa. A request to show restarint was probnably not advised--why throw gasoline ont he fire--but could hardly be construed as a hate crime.
Ezra Levant is jumping to Coulter's aid. Funny thing is Coulter would have Levant in a concentration camp if she had her way.

Funny how it points out demonstrations against her in her own country as well.
I have no doubt that said protest against her was in no way dangerous to her person at all and trumped up by her organizers to draw more attention to her.
