Just because Anonymous says some 32 y/o guy in New West is behind it doesn't make it so.
Quite true. You are only guilty by circumstance if you are Lance Armstrong.
Nice try. When people under oath say they sat on the team bus while they both injected drugs, that's not considered circumstantial evidence.
When you have computer logs showing a statement was posted from a given computer at a given time, that isn't circumstantial either.
And the computer has no agenda.

Got those, give em to the cops. Let them deal with it. It it's solid evidence they'll pursue it. As I said, they would love to makes some busts in this case, have no reason to drag their feet.

Charges of pedophila are very serious. .
That's a good point, granted.

It's one thing for people to rag on each other on the interweb. We do it here. It's another to make threats or worse or get people fired or hound them all over the place when there's very little hard evidence. As I say, the guy dancing on the cop car, have at it, except for the threats. But come on, we're supposed to be a civilized community. Falling into mob mentality never did anybody any good.

“We generally don’t like to deal with police first hand but were compelled to put our skills to good use protecting kids,” it read. “Ironically we have some good people in Vancouver who brought this to our admin’s attention. It’s a very sad story that affects all of us.”

The problem with cyber bullying is that the criminal code normally requires physical 'contact' for things like 'assault'. Police have their hands tied.

Anonymous’ accusation of Amanda Todd’s stalker is false, RCMP say

Amanda Todd: Online group Anonymous now accuses U.S. man of tormenting Amanda Todd
http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/arti ... manda-toddBut this time for sure, they've got the right guy, right. The fact the first guy is getting death threats for something he didn't do, meh. And the computer logs don't lie, right? You guys that are for digilantism should give your heads a shake. (Whatever happened to that expression. Seemed to be all the rage among the right wing on this forum).

RCMP say online rumours and scams are delaying their investigation into the case of B.C. teenager Amanda Todd, who turned to YouTube to express her sadness about being bullied before taking her life.
Sgt. Peter Thiessen says one of those rumours is an "unfounded allegation" by the internet activist group Anonymous that identifies a New Westminster man as the B.C. teen's tormentor.
CBC News has learned that some of the background information that was posted could not have applied to the man who was named, and that there are at least two other people online using the same name and similar email addresses.

How is this, what Anonymous does, better than ANY other bully?
