Hopefully BC learned from the environmental disasters they created in the late 60s and log the frigging reservoir before they flood it.

Don't believe for a second that all the consultation rounds with the residents, Environmental assesments and other bullshit that the Campbell government have been trumpeting mean a damn thing. Everyone in the area knows it was a done deal long ago. They make it sound like they are putting a lot of effort into coming up with a decision. Why then are there roads being built from the Stuart Lake area to the south side of the site even before the decision is anounced? The vast majority of the residents in the area don't want a third damn on our river and Blair Lekstrom damn well knows it. I'm sick and tired of the Peace region being raped by industry to satisfy the needs of the lower mainland. Built your dam on the Fraser River and see how you like it.

I'm trying to figure out why they're still considering Site C when the Bennett isn't running any where near capacity.

Hate to tell you, but this is just a cog in the great big wheel of Los Angeles trying to control every last drop of water in North America.

$1:
At that time, and subsequently, I worked with [Ralph M.] Parsons company [Parsons Corporation], a consulting firm, on a major water transfer program. I've always felt that at some point in time there will be, because water is such a vital necessity, there will be a major basin transfer system from the Yukon [River] exchanging water for the Fraser River.
