so what do you think about the Lib performance ?
Montreal, Toronto, couple ridings out east..
do you think the Libs have been reduced to a place they need to move away
from, and wouldnt the first step for that to happen is for Dion to go ?

Ah well.
The Liberal performance was dissapointing yes but also far less devestating then people seem to think.
1) Vote splitting between 3 leftist parties cost both the Lis and NDP seats to the CPC. Thats just a reality.
2) The Liberals still did better with 76 seats then any result for the PC (post 92), reform, and allaince. In fact the Liberals even won when the vote was split between 2 left and 2 right.
3) There is no questioning that Dion was unable to connect with the voters. It was his call to run on the Green Shift and his personality that failed to electrify the electorate. Of course Harper isn't all that and a bag of chips. He has sort of won be default. He didn't win a majority despite this being his third election even if he did improve their seat counts.
4) None of the cons simply went off and sulked in any of the past elections they lost so why would we?
