A tragic loss and condolences to the families. Not sure why Paul Watson, known for terrorizing fishermen and sealers by threating to ram any ship that won’t give in to his demands, is quoted as a safety advocate calling for a full inquiry into Cost Guard towing practices.
The guy might hate sealing but no one likes to see people die like this. He's in close contact with this stuff, I'm sure he knows more than the average joe.
My condolences to the family. Terrible tragedy
Horrible tragedy, condolences to the family and friends.
Watson is right on this...they should have been offloaded before being towed...Damn sad
Watson is a menace but...not an expert....
Basics is that a laden ship is more stable than a light one.
...men go down to the sea and ships.......

not an expert....I notice he said the crew should have been taken off---perhaps...
Towing in pan ice is dangerous--at best----should have taken the crew off a left it adrift.
