'Social Democratic Party' would be more fitting I guess.

Scape @ Thu Jun 11, 2009 6:55 pm

Jack missed his calling and should have been in porno with that mustache!

kenmore @ Thu Jun 11, 2009 7:22 pm

Well we know the NDP won't lean right and the bloc is out of the question.. but I think they should change both the NDP and disolve the bloc.. parliament would run better.. And election options would be better too.

I's say that anything they do to modernize would be a good idea. Their seriously stuck in some kind of socialist funk.

dino_bobba_renno @ Thu Jun 11, 2009 7:36 pm

I think forcing Layton to shave his mustache off would have an equal if not greater effect if what they're shooting for is to modernize the NDP's image. Maybe we should start a petition. Maybe he could even borrow Day's wet suit.

kenmore @ Thu Jun 11, 2009 7:36 pm

All parties are dysfunctional right now.. seems the standard for decorum and protocol are out the window.. more time spent on dissing each other than working for the people who put them there..

stemmer @ Sat Jun 13, 2009 7:59 pm

Better YET...let's just drop the NDP altogether....!!!! :D :D :D

kenmore kenmore:
What would you get if you mixed orange with green?

Oh, it is the biggest mix-up that you have ever seen.
My father, he was Orange and me mother, she was Green.

My father was an Ulster man, proud Protestant was he.
My mother was a Catholic girl. From county Cork was she.
They were married in two churches, lived happily enough,
Until the day that I was born. Then, things got rather tough.

Oh, it is the biggest mix-up that you have ever seen.
My father, he was Orange and me mother, she was green.

Baptized by Father Reilly, I was rushed away by car,
To be made a little Orangeman, my father's shining star.
I was christened "David Anthony," but still, inspite of that,
To my father, I was William, while my mother called me Pat.

Oh, it is the biggest mix-up that you have ever seen.
My father, he was Orange and me mother, she was green.

With Mother every Sunday, to Mass I'd proudly stroll.
Then after that, the Orange lodge would try to save my soul.
For both sides tried to claim me, but i was smart because
I'd play the flute or play the harp, depending where I was.

Oh, it is the biggest mix-up that you have ever seen.
My father, he was Orange and me mother, she was green.

One day my Ma's relations came round to visit me.
Just as my father's kinfolk were all sitting down to tea.
We tried to smooth things over, but they all began to fight.
And me, being strictly neutral, I bashed everyone in sight.

Oh, it is the biggest mix-up that you have ever seen.
My father, he was Orange and me mother, she was green.

My parents never could agree about my type of school.
My learning was all done at home, that's why I'm such a fool.
They've both passed on, God rest 'em, but left me caught between
That awful color problem of the Orange and the Green.

Oh, it is the biggest mix-up that you have ever seen.
My father, he was Orange and me mother, she was green
