I don't see why Jesus couldnt have been gay. I also don't see why God can't be a black woman.

Is it really important? Nope.

The 62-year-old musician is quoted as saying, "I think Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems."

So because Jesus was compassionate and intelligent he's automatically gay? Is Elton saying a straight guy can't be compassionate and intelligent?

"I see him as a compassionate person who forgave people. That's how I see him. Every one's individual faith is their own business."

The last sentence couldn't be more true. If he thinks Jesus was gay, his opinion. If you think Jesus was actually a cave troll, your business. I love those who freak out when someones view is different from theirs, cause we all know, only our views could possibly be right....

Well, in Elton's defense, Jesus never married and hung out with 12 guys the whole time....

It probably as to do with the fact that he was hanging with twelve dudes. Say what you want, but that's a lot of sausages!

But anyway, it doesn't matter, at all.

Jesus was an arab, and was probably gay, but still, he delivered the most important message ever. Making him a badass, on the process.

Of course it's his opinion, but Elton John is trying to pass it off as fact... What's next Hitler was actually black? Al Capone was the Pope?

Everyone is entitled to an opinion but don't try to rewrite history just because it's your opinion, present the facts and allow historians to review your "opinion"...

$1:
The Catholic League condemned the comments, saying that to call Jesus a homosexual is to "label him a sexual deviant."

BluesBud @ Mon Feb 22, 2010 8:34 am

Ya and he was Blond and had Blues Eyes.

How you see Jesus the man is not as important as his message. At least that is the way I thought it was supposed to work.

How is this

$1:

and this
$1:
"I'm not saying to everyone that he definitely was gay; that's just how I see him from my point of view as a compassionate gay person," John is quoted on WGN's website.

"I see him as a compassionate person who forgave people. That's how I see him. Everyone's individual faith is their own business."

trying to pass ANYTHING off as a fact??
I think it's pretty clear that it is HIS opnion, that he is entitled to.

Fact?...just what facts is he re-writing? Most everything we know about Jesus was written hundreds of years after his death. Scholars all over the world have different views of those "facts" you talk about. Most everything said about Jesus is one mans opinion or another. Why do you think there are so many "christian" religions, they all have a different opinion of the "Historical facts".
