This has nothing to do with farmer control, it has to do with the role elected politicialns have in controling beurocrats.

The family farm has all but disappeared.
The huge Agri-Business model now runs most farms.
So is there still a place for price-fixing, such as the CWB
and all of the other marketing boards provide ?
People in places such as Windsor and Sarnia still routinely
cross the border for milk, eggs, cheese, etc....even with customs
delays and passport requirements.
