First french speaking "ballon platoon." Wow! I can't wait until we get the first "English speaking" platoon.

   

And the point is ?

   

We're not sure....the idea of using balloons is interesting, why it is specifically done in French, when the operating language of the Canadian military and NATO is English...not a clue.

   

Language is a very useful combat tool. During WWII a small group of Navajo Marines
made a big difference toward bringing Allied Victory.

Have to wonder???? Are these slow moving targets protected against incendiary bullet????

   

I think most people here are familiar with the Wind talkers.

   

Helium isn't affected by incendiary muntions. The use of hydrogen filled balloons on the field of combat went out in WW I.

drones do a much better job and deprending on how high they are not visible.

   

The Frenchies still have along way if they want to catch up with Gabe Newell's mad ballooning skills.
