Good for him... maybe this will put an end to the bullshit bias of the moral right wingers..
What a joke... the US is the world capital of bullshit lawsuits.
Ya and they usually pay off
Actually, the bible goes a lot further than calling homosexulaity a sin. It explicitly directs its followers to kill male homosexuals.
So do you sue the publishers or the author?

The author's already been crucified. Kind of hard to top that.

Well, he was only the co-author though. Can still go after his dad

Where the hell does it say that? I must have missed that part.

Leviticus 20:13. If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

According to some you're allowed to ignore the embarrassing parts of the OT that you don't like because Jesus trumps them.

I can understand that point of view. However, the offending passages remain, waiting for some zealots to seize upon. And the question remains: If the bible was written by god and is therefor inviolate, how can true believers simply ignore the passage?
You don't ignore it, but you don't follow it because that is part of the Old Covenant. Same with a lot of the dictates on weaving and stuff and all the stoning laws. Do you really want to get into a discussion of Christian doctrine?
Also, this case is ridiculous.

lol the last chunk is awesome.
"THE BIBLE SAYS.." has never been a valid point, but if it WAS, it wouldn't be now cause it keeps changing. I say we get someone to publish a bible that says the complete oposite of everything this one says, so that the argument of "the bible says" becomes moot!
"bible says gays are bad"
"my bible says gays are awesome and that your moms a wh***! "
How does the Bible keep changing?
