Got an explanation for those kids playing on the beach, in front of a hotel used by journalists where I believe 4 were murdered, cannot call it anything else.
Oh yeah, we made a mistake.
Just like the Canadian Major and other UN Soldiers, with the UN who were also murdered a tad ago. Deliberate targeting of a UN post.
That was nicely swept under the rug by Harper as it does not fit with his policies.

Yeah ok, I guess that's why in a report released by the CF in 2008 they said,
$1:
...that both the Israeli military and the UN refused to provide requested documents for the investigation.
However, in an email dated 18 July received by CTV and published 24 July, the deceased Canadian peacekeeper Major Paeta Hess-von Kruedener, stated: “What I can tell you is this: we have on a daily basis had numerous occasions where our position has come under direct or indirect fire from both artillery and aerial bombing. The closest artillery has landed within 2 meters of our position and the closest 1000 lb aerial bomb has landed 100 meters from our patrol base. This has not been deliberate targeting, but has rather been due to tactical necessity."
Murdered indeed

Care to crank up the anti-Israel/anti-Harper rhetoric any higher?

Based on the small amount of damage at the beach most observers have conceded that the July incident at the beach was due to a small Qassam rocket misfiring and crashing on the beach. Israeli munitions are far more destructive and the metal and wood shed at the beach site would've been obliterated by an Israeli munition. Instead it was less than 20 meters from the impact site and still standing afterwards.

Good to hear that you oppose the indiscriminate rocket attacks by Hamas against Arab and Jewish Israeli children.

Apparently another cease fire took effect today, surely to be broken a couple of hours from now by some meathead firing another 20-pack of rockets off in the general direction of Sderot.

Hamas must be low on rockets, time to restock.

Just as much as I am against this genocide that Israel is trying to pass off as a defensive measure.

Please stop abusing the word 'genocide'. You do harm to the meaning of the word with this kind of hyperbolic abuse.
Israel is by no means committing a genocide. In the current war they've killed a total of maybe 1200 to 1600 people in Gaza. Out of a population of
1.8 million.
The Palestinians are not even up to a 1% mortality.
Canada lost more soldiers in the first couple days of the Battle of the Somme so be mindful of those who died in far greater numbers and be mindful of the degradation of our language by its abuse.
Thanks.
Abuse of the term? Only if you are unaware of the definition...and since you are, here it is:
$1:
Genocide is the systematic destruction of all or a significant part of a racial, ethnic, religious or national group via the (a) Killing of members of the group; (b) Causing of serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; (c) Deliberate inflicting on the group's conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; (d) Imposing of measures intended to prevent births within the group; or (e) Forcible transferring of children of the group to another group.
Are Palestinians a national group? Why, yes they are.
Will Palestinians exist after Palestine is gone? Not for long.
Now, go look at a map. Palestinians have about 15-20 years before there is no longer a Palestine. Period. Once Palestine is gone, it will only be a matter of time until Palestinians are gone.
That is genocide.
To make it easy, I have underlined/bolded the pertinent points for you.

The facts speak for themselves. If I recall correctly the the Govt removed the info on his death from their website.
What else would you call a deliberate attack on a UN site?
Now a link please?
Funny.....up until a few decades ago, the term Palestinian referred specifically to Jews living in the area. The Arabs were referred to as.... well..... Arabs. It wasn't until the late 60s and 70s that they coopted the name Palestinian. They still have Jordan

The Defence Department has quietly removed from the Internet a report into the
killing of a Canadian
military officer by Israeli forces, a move the soldier’s widow says i
s linked to the Conservative
government’s reluctance to criticize Israel for any wrongdoing.
Maj. Paeta Hess-von Kruedener and three other United Nations observers were killed
in 2006 when the
Israeli military targeted their small outpost with repeated artillery barrages
as well as an attack by a
fighter aircraft.
IN early 2008, the Defence Department posted on its website a 67-page report
from the Canadian
Forces board of inquiry into the killing. The board found Hess-von Kruedener’s death
was preventable
and caused by the Israeli military.
But less than a year later, the report was quietly removed from the DND w
ebsite and has since
remained off-limits to the public through official channel

A United Nations military observer sent e-mails home to Canada reporting that Israel was bombing schools and waging "a campaign of terror against the Lebanese people" shortly before he was killed by an Israeli bomb in Lebanon, said his widow.
Maj. Paeta Hess-von Kruedener of Kingston, Ont., a member of the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, was one of four UN military observers who died when the Israeli Defence Forces bombed a marked United Nations post on July 25, 2006.

Peacekeeper’s death fault of Israeli military: report
The death of a Canadian peacekeeper in Lebanon in 2006 was preventable and the fault of the Israeli military, a Canadian military inquiry has concluded.
