Canadian
$1:
U.S. laws that mandate a certain percentage of the corn crop go into ethanol fuel for the transportation industry had lit a fire under corn prices even before the drought. The size of the continent's corn crop has been rising for a decade, before falling precipitously this year.
One of the dumbest things I've seen the US FedGov do yet for the following reasons:
1) Driving up the cost of corn and makes less available for food and feed.
2) Ethanol blended gas negatively impacts fuel milage.
3) Ethanol blened gas destroys small engines. I've seen the effects first hand on outboard marine engines, lawnmowers, etc.
NO BACON????? That f*cker in the White House has GOT TO GO!!!!

Totally agree with 1.
But 2), yes but it also extends oil supplies with a renweable source. (should be switchgrass, not corn)
and 3) It's corrosive, so if the engine isn't designed for it - don't use it!

Kind of hard to find regular gas without ethanol these days...

It's not a big deal to retrofit. Get rid of rubber fuel lines, cork gaskets . . .
Besides the point though. My bacon supply is safe. I don't get it from the stores, I get the pork belly from a farmer, and cure and smoke it myself. Mmmmmmm! And easy too!

I'm not worried either.........I'm getting mine from DrCaleb now.
Meh... I don't eat enough of the stuff to be overly worried about it. Now if there were a curry shortage heads would roll!
