Mustang1 suggested people purchased Hondas because they do not depreciate and are a good investment... This is not true... People who purchase cars as an investment do not buy 2009 Civics... If you have a problem with that then send an e-mail to Jay Leno...

AND as Herbie as replied and I agree 100% with him... When some people purchase a car for daily transportation they drive it until there is no life left in it... I do not purchase a new car every 3 or 5 years.... They last until they are 15 years old or more...

Get a grip on reality and the world will be a better place....

As far as not answering your queries, since when do I report to you?

Show's your ignorance in this matter. Cars that demand the most money at a Barrett-Jackson auction are those cars that have original matching vin (vehicle identification number) on the car and engine. Cars with ORIGINAL paint and minimum body work...

Granted there are many classic cars which are barnyard finds and restored to immaculate condition but they do not get the big bucks like an original... Many of these rusted hulks are prime candidates for customizing or hot rodding....

Tell me Stemmer, are you wilfully stupid or is there an underlying cause for what you do?

Not one of these vehicles you love to point out from the auctions has been driven back and forth to work on a daily basis since they were originally purchased. Now with that in mind;

What does a thirty or forty year old restored and/or modified vehicle have to do with GM’s failing performance?

What does a thirty or forty year old restored and/or modified vehicle have to do with the poor quality production standards in respect to the majority of imported vehicles?

What does a thirty or forty year old restored and/or modified vehicle have to do with the poor business practices exhibited by all three North American manufacturers?

Nothing...

But it corrects Mustang1's belief that people purchase Honda's for an investment...

Now which will retain it's value more? A 2009 Toyota Camry or a 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T?

How about a new 2009 Corvette? What Japanese car will hold it's value as well as a Vette or 2009 Shelby Mustang....

Now please inform me...? It is you two fools who made this ludicrous statement and I am merely pointing out how silly this statement is.... Yes some Hondas, Toyotas, Nissans depreciate little but to make the wild statement that domestics depreciate more is not true....

No deal with it....

I'm going to drive my Dodge Challenger R/t all winter in Calgary.. 11 .5 months of the year.

No, that’s another ridiculous attempt to justify your ridiculous argument and make a fool of yourself all over again.

First of all ask me in thirty or forty years. Without serious restoration I can guarantee they’ll both be worth NOTHING, if of course they exist at all.

Then of course there’s your nonsensical return to comparing a Vette or Shelby to a “generic Japanese car”. You’ve already expressed your racist leaning in the past.

This of course brings us back to the “apples and oranges” expression which you just can’t seem to comprehend.

A Vette collector will be as impressed with an old Vette as a Nissan Skyline collector will be with an old Skyline. Your particular bias for North American is overtly obsessive.

You keep your in the sand Stemmer (or in that rear orifice of yours). Call ANY leasing company and ask the residual value comparison of any EQUIVALENT class vehicle from Europe, North American and Japan. There is no North American model that will win that contest. I can guarantee the call would make you look more foolish than you do here.

No deal with it....

Uh huh. That about covers it.

That is not factual. That is merely your opinion. You are entitled to it.

Wrong...the former is my argument and the later is an argument. I can provide objective data that illustrates it.

$1:
For someone who doesn't care what I buy you certainly are worked up over the fact Herbie choose a Saturn over an Honda. It's his money, his decision. Learn to live with it....

How am i worked up, Dr. Phil? Quit practicing dimestore psychology without a license and go back to dispensing ignorance, hypocrisy and Foiler nonsense.

$1:
Not everyone's will is going to bend to your harrassment, bullying, name calling and trolling....

And no one is going to take your crying, whining, hypocrisy, trolling and infantile responses either. Somewhere there's a corner missing a suck...go find it.

$1:
Now kindly punk off...you're starting to really annoy me....

Actually, i was here first and i'll post what i want and where i want. I don't march to your orders nor do I care that you're a first-rate baby. You don't like it? Piss off, but don't tell me what to do, as i'm not your monkey.

$1:
Kindly leave the adult talk to adults and please find another forum for your juvenile antics...

Actually, you can take your Foiler brand of ignorance somewhere else, goof-off as i'm here for the duration. Your dipwad bullying projection won't work on me. Don't like it? Take your gong-show somewhere else.

Cue the crybaby meltdown!

More lies from the resident Foiler. Where did i specifically say Hondas are a good investment? You'll cower again, but in the process, you'll cement your status as a disingenuous poster.

Actually, a Camry will hold its value better than a Fusion. Deal with it. A Civic will hold its value better than a Cobalt. Deal with it. And the cars that are truly worth an investment are Ferrari, Porsche, Bentley and Bugatti. None of which you can afford and still doesn't alter the fact that Domestics do not do well against Toyota and Honda in terms of depreciation. Deal with it.

PS: I thought you would be hiding your head in shame after the Flames got put out last night.... Too bad about the Sharks too... I thought this was the year for 'em...

I haven't cheered for the Flames since 1992  I was all smiles last night when they lost. Sucks about the Sharks but, the Ducks do know how to play in the playoffs.

So it's ok for Mustang1 to claim Japanese cars hold their value more then domestics... as long as we eliminate the domestics that do hold their value... I think that's called fudging data.... Let's eliminate all the Cups Les Canadiens have won and claim the Leafs have more... 8O 8O 8O 8O

How about sticking to cars at the same price point and have the same production numbers? and are driven every day. :D
