It's a european list...
yes, some of the best music is from europe, or the UK I should say.
I just don't agree at all putting Oasis above, the Beatles or U2, Pink floyd. reading the comments on that news page, no one agrees with the list, lol
Looks like the list is an attempt to revolt against the sixties-to-seventies era bands heralded as the gods of rock by so much of the musical press establishment. The top ten alone is dominated by 1990's birthed rock bands like Oasis, Radiohead, Nirvana, and The Stone Roses. While all four of those bands deserve their place in rock history, there's no way they can ever launch a successful coup d'état over the established legends. The only way that will ever happen is when a new type of music is created and rock is left behind as the music of the 20th century.
BS List....Lots of Standards that everybody votes for (Beatles, Zep, etc.) and T.Rex makes the list? WTF??
Whoa, Shania Twain, Arctic Monkeys, and the Spice Girls? This list just lost any credibility.
Didn't notice the Spice Girls on the list till now.....I don't understand
On the Bright Side, it's nice to see some quality Canadian Content with Arcade Fire.
Bogus list. Coldplay? Good but not great
Prozzak's first album was #1, they obviously made a typo.
It's mosrtly a good list but......no Van Halen??
no Whitney no Mariah and no Janet?
Amen.
