This is going to piss off the Liberals and bring some money to the Greens.

It will be interesting to see who she attacks during a debate. I do hope she reminds Dion and his supporters how much the Liberals did for the environment during their reign of error

The greens prided themselves as the party that held itself to higher ideals. They dumped all over Emerson for crossing the floor, now it looks like their kicking out their elected candidate for a Leberal leftover.

Is this the end of the Dion-May ideological gropefest ?
It was kind of disturbing, anyway....and smarmy.

he is still going to lose his seat in the next election , this move does not save him as the greens came in forth there and the liberals will still run a candidate and split the vote and make sure he does not get re-elected as they must be pretty pissed over this one . the seat is a very likely conservative pick up in the next election .

blair wilson also is not that well known or done anything impressive in ottawa at all , other than geting kicked out of the liberal caucus he is not known for anything . well until he did this , now he is more known . but he won't even get a chance to sit in parliament as a green mp either so he is not going to accompolish much .

Even though he may not actually sit in the house as a Green, it will be very hard to keep Ms May out of the debates. If she keeps her cool, Canadians can at last see what intelligent thought on issues can do. With any luck, this will lead to several seats in the next parliament.

From the CPC perspective, the Greens and the Libs are an alliance:

$1:
Dion, who shares May's environmental idealism, is expected to make the announcement Friday at a joint news conference with May in Central Nova. In return, sources say May will promise not to run a Green candidate against the Liberal leader and will essentially endorse Dion for prime minister.

The extraordinary back-scratching between two supposedly rival leaders is unheard of in Canadian politics and could generate a backlash within both parties.

Now that their MP is a green-washed out liberal, would it be May or Wilson in the debates and wouldn't that be just 2 Liberals anyways?
