Harper: "yeah, I got a couple of Greek guys working in the office".
Liberals: "what are you, some sort of racist?".

WTF? First the portrait gallery and now this. Don’t these opposition MP’s have other issues they should be more concerned with? We’re not paying them to act like a bunch of old women gossiping at the local coffee shop. Christ no wonder nothing ever gets done on Parliament Hill.

i read what harper had said and was no way any sensible person would say that was intended to insult greek people in any way .

how do you know it didnt isult Greeks? are you a Greek... you are being subjective.. you wouldnt know if it was unacceptable unless you were of that cultural group...if it had be M. Dion who said it .. I can just imagine what you would be writing now....

The LIBRANOs are a bizarre lot. They siphon off $millions to friends and then are critical of the current government for not doing more to solve a non-problem which they correctly did nothing at all.
This "scandal is typical. They make charges of ethnic cronyism and then target their target as insulting that very ethnic group. That is clumsy spin at best.

Conservative House Leader Peter Van Loan stood to defend the Prime Minister, arguing his remarks had been mischaracterized, and that Mr. Harper was actually “defending the people of Greek origin from what seemed to be unfitting attacks by the Opposition.”
This is even thinner and sillier than the "porn on the laptop" thing.
The opposition---and media....are desperately grasping at straws.

Thats one of the dumbest things i've ever read. Harper say's that the opposition thinks there is a scandal because of some members ethic background, and he's called out for being racist.

how anyone got the idea there was an intended insult out of harpers comments is beyond my thinking, it seems like these people are only looking for things to make him look bad and there so desperate it doesn't matter what they are or if there true .
if dion had said it ? well since i can't even understand what dion says , i'd need a translator to know if he insulted someone .
