I thought by the thread title that Health Canada was warning about Canadian Football League fever (catch it!).

Shit I thought it was about the Canadian Football League as well...I thought they were going to discuss the importance of not over drinking and then trying to maneuver the steps in the Stadium with nachos in your hand...this is very dangerous and should not be attempted by the very young or elderly

It must suck to be the victim all the time. The Mercury is in vapour form. Open a window, and it will go away.

I'm not even touching on why your kids are sucking on broken light bulbs. I can't ever remember breaking lights as a child. Was I so different? Although I did find out what happens when you force a belt buckle into a wall socket.

Don't have kids do you?

How is that relevant? I was a kid, I don't recall ever breaking a light bulb (except on purpose) in my lifetime. How are kids supposed to learn if they aren't allowed to make some mistakes?

Regardless, you are still afraid of boogey men that don't exist.

I have 3. I cannot remember the last time I or anyone in my family broke a bulb of any kind....incandescent or CFL.

Me thinks you're a little to paranoid.

We have had almost 100% CFL's in our house for about 5 years now. Haven't broken one yet. The lights have been in tube form for decades. Never heard the outcry over them as we have over the CFL's. All I know is that my power bill is much lower with them and I cannot remember the last time I have had to replace one.
