Hungarians rally again against 'slave laws'
N_Fiddledog N_Fiddledog:
Here's another thing I'd like to know more about concerning this story.
This 400 hours of overtime is presented as mandatory (or in prog-speak "enslaving") and pulled out a vacuum of the current governments' "fascist" butts to keep the proles under thumb.
But now we're learning this 400 hours wasn't just manufactured out of whole cloth. It's not a creation. It's an increase. It used to be 250 hours. So what the socialists are really whining about is a 150 hour a year increase and I imagine there were rules in place for the original 250. What were they? Do any of the leftists pulling their hair out screaming "slavery" and "fascist" even know. I know I'd like to.
You’re being dishonest now. Giving employers 3 years for payment is also new. And let’s be clear work that is unpaid for 3 years is effectively unpaid labour.
Also Orbans slave law is exempt from union representation so there’s no protection for employees who are told to work the extra overtime.

More excuses and deflection and apology for fascism.
This is
not fascism. And when you and people like you insist on using that word for anyone you don't like then the word loses its meaning.
It would be like if I called you 'contemplative' all the time. After a while the word would lose its original meaning.
This is exactly what fascism is.

So registering someone as a "Progressive" isn't the same as calling someone a fascist then.
Glad we straightened that out. No offence or anything but you progressives need to watch your false equivalencies.
Just out of curiosity, perhaps you could point out when I have used the term fascist! It may have happened but I can’t recall when. Waiting for an answer...waiting.

Waiting...
Sorry...busy.
We were referring to your falsely equating the 2 terms - Fascist and Progressive.
Here ya go:
You're wrong btw. The term Progressive appears to be increasing in power as something some want to react to. You for example, don't appear ready to leave it be.
Oh, yeah
Actually doggie, I was speaking to Bart, but you appear to to be all pouty about it. What I said was incorrectly using the term fascist was
LIKE incorrectly using the term progressive. Look up the terms in a dictionary. Those definitions are the correct uses of the terms. Bart was correct... calling everything you dislike 'fascist' is incorrectly using the term. Same with progressive. You (and a very few of your minions here on CKA) are the only person I've ever heard use it. Staying away from Ezra Trash helps.
Oh, and by the way, nice touch... using the Royal We

One of the first things authoritarians do is annihilate independent labour representation. They either bring the workers in under a state "union", which is a mockery of the entire concept because it's just another method to keep tabs on dissenters, or get rid of all worker/workplace protection altogether.
Thanos Thanos:
I stand by what I said. A rigged populism like this is the corporatists ultimate dream.
The rigged populism in Venezuela was decidedly anti-corporate.
Ditto the anti-corporate and anti-globalist popular Yellow Vest movement sweeping Europe right now.

In the USA the recent
Janus decision in the Supreme Court freed myself and millions of others government workers from being forced into membership into a union that was nothing less than a hand-in-hand partner with the Democrat ruling party.
SEIU was and remains a state union since it seems its primary purpose is to channel union dues to Democrat candidates.

Not even comparable. What Orban wants is no different than the purge of whatever unionism exists in Hungary just as happened in far-right American states with corporatist lackey governors like Walker in Wisconsin or Brownback in Kansas. Keep it up with the pro-Trumpism and maybe someday you too can work an extra day for free and *nudge nudge wink wink* your employer will promise to pay you later.
And in case there’s any doubt about this FASCIST DICTATOR’s power grab, here’s what else he was up to last week:
$1:
BUDAPEST — Prime Minister Viktor Orban of Hungary tightened his grip on power on Wednesday, as the Hungarian Parliament, controlled by Mr. Orban’s far-right party, approved the creation of a parallel court system that cements executive control over the judiciary.
Once the new system begins operating within the next 12 months, Mr. Orban’s justice minister will control the hiring and promotion of its judges, who will have jurisdiction over cases relating to “public administration” — including politically sensitive matters like electoral law, corruption and the right to protest.
Hungary’s existing judiciary, which already faces significant meddling by Mr. Orban’s government, will continue to work — but with a reduced mandate, and with no oversight of the parallel court system, known as the administrative courts.
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/12/worl ... ourts.htmlSo the court responsible for hearing any misdeeds committed by Orban’s government or any protests against him will be one fully controlled by him.

Absolutely no one itt is interested in the truth, only to run around, scream and whine
BS about things they have no idea about. The ignorance is staggering.

Populism has and always will be a cover for a corporatist agenda.
That's simply untrue. And it's hard to describe an idiotic law like this as appealing to populism.
You see how far the mental gymnastics go ?
Hungary... oh Trump did it.

Well then you should be downright upset at China and their actual slave labour. But then again, you might not. It's just left-wing fascist dictator Xi, a man admired by Groper and his supporters, doing what left-wing fascist dictators do.

However, Trump offered a more positive assessment during a fundraising event at his Mar-a-Lago estate, where he hosted Xi last April. “He’s now president for life. President for life. And he’s great,” the US president reportedly told Republican donors.
Yeah, that's twice now you've brought that up. Just one thing, Trump isn't the Prime Minister of Canada. That fucking cute Trudeau admires China so much though that they are unloading massive quantities of fentanyl in Canada while he sits with his thumbs up his ass.
Over a year ago the Conservatives and Dippers drafted a bill to do something about the fentanyl crisis. The Trudeau govt utterly rejected it, to a man. Now, China is demanding concessions in the Canadians market in exchange for reducing the flow of fentanyl. And of course I'm sure our worthless PM will cave in to them. After all, he just admires them soooooo much.

So I see you're not concerned about Chinese fascism and the use of actual slave labour. Guess I was right about you after all.
Tell us, how many products do you purchase that are made in Hungary compared to the number of products you purchase that are made in China?

Sad and desperate attempt at deflection.
Why can’t you people just condemn something that’s bad instead of bringing up old cold war communists or China? This thread is about this dictator and hero of the trump-loving right wing who is proving himself to be no better than communist hungary or China.
