And, the PM brings out his standard explaination for his unethical actions yet again. And while this is disgustingsad what will be even even worse is when his followers defend his actions and say he shouldn't be taken to task because he's apologized.

If he had any real ethics or actual remorse he's step aside till the investigation was completed. But he won't because, he either doesn't believe he did anything wrong or, he just doesn't understand that ethics isn't just a course progressives take in College.

Trudeau apologizes for his mistakes, Trump defends his mistakes.

Wouldn't it be easier to NOT make mistakes (or at least a lot less of them)? [huh]

Trudeau can't help himself though. It's how the Liberal party has always rolled.

$1:
This choice to make the Kielburgers distributors of nearly $1 billion invoked an entirely predictable angry, hostile response. You had to be in real self-isolation not to know that. Really, out of touch.

Could it also have been the amount? As one sane person on Twitter (there aren’t many more) stated, $912 million could clean up a lot of dirty water wells in Aboriginal communities.

It could also do a hell of a lot to deal with the savage treatment of old people in nursing homes. A billion dollars spent to hire more staff, have better regulation, provide for dignified and professional care, would be the mark of a government that cares. Actually cares. But the thought must have been that passing out money to “paid volunteers,” young people all, was a sexier proposition.

Canadas economy is getting crushed anyways, getting ragdolled by the global competition. Get it while you can, it won't last more than another generation.

You're right not making "mistakes" would be much easier if that was what was happening. But, given the number of times that it's occurred to our PM in less than 5 years maybe it's time to start calling it what it really is..............arrogance, narcissism and a lack of actual remorse for any of the myriad of "mistakes" he's made and likely planning on making in the future..

And unfortunately, due to the way Liberal Canada does things, he'll have a perpetual and permanent get out of jail care no matter how many more of these incidents occur with him. Until the party says enough is enough and makes him step down the rest of us will be stuck with him. And that won't happen. They stuck by Chretien to the bitter end despite the open criminality that was happening in the party in Quebec. Compared to the non-stop sleazy deeds that were the main hallmark of the Chretien era, Trudeau's messes with JWR, SNC Lavalin, and WE are small potatoes.

I'll give him credit for what he's done right - marijuana legalization, most of the COVID response, and not caving into Trump's bullying bullshit routine for the most part. That doesn't mean though that he won't be the same old gaffe/ethical nightmare/child of privilege going forward. He seems incapable of learning from his mistakes, and seems as immune as Trump to listening to anyone who might be saying to him that these things he does are not good and not in anyone's best interest. That's that narcissist factor coming through again, and that mental/emotional condition is permanent, which means the next fuck-up is just around the corner.

I too give credit where it's due; he hasn't been the worst Liberal PM in recent memory. But he does seem to have a pre-written script he follows whenever he fucks up this badly, and just fills in the blanks with the misdeed du jour.

Nothing sticks to this guy. John Gotti was called "the teflon Don" This guy should be called "the teflon PM". This guy just does whatever the hell he feels like doing, whenever the hell he feels like doing it. He is not deterred by laws, morals, or any sense of common decency. James Dean is seen as a symbol of eternal youth. This clown is a symbol of the eternal frat boy that never grew the hell up. Its one thing for a young man in his early 20's to keep fucking up only to be constantly bailed out of trouble by his rich, powerful father. This asshat is 48 years old already! He is (and has been for a very long time) a grown ass man. Its way past time that he started taking some responsibility for his own actions.

But than why should he? You guys keep giving him a free pass to be a perpetual fuck up. Sexual assault. Pulling strings so his connected buddies avoid criminal prosecution. Wearing blackface so many times that he has lost count. And now this. All he has to do is say that he is sincerely sorry, and all his problems just magically disappear like Jimmy Hoffa. Never to be seen again. This guy is perpetually saying how sorry he is. I have yet to hear him apologize for something that he has not been caught doing yet. Its only AFTER the story breaks that he is "sincerely sorry  ". Boo fucking hoo! This guy should bottle and sell this magical whatever the hell it is he has to make problems just go away with a few insincere words. Our prisons are full of people who could use some of that magic fairy dust that just makes your criminal case go away!!! Better yet maybe he should practise law. He would have a better record than Perry Mason. I could see him defending O.J. Simpson now: "your Honor my client is sincerely sorry for his actions" The Judge: "OK case dismissed! Hey Juice can I get an autograph?" Look at all the money the taxpayers could have saved if only Justin was on the case. The whole thing could have been resolved in under an hour.

The blacks are all pissed off about white privilege these days. This asshole is the very definition of white privilege. He has spent his entire life walking through the rain without getting wet. Us mere mortals lose our careers and go to prison for the things that he has done, but not Justin! All he has to do is flash his baby blues and tell us how sincerely sorry he is, and all is forgiven. Must be nice to be able to walk on water like that.

History shows that patronage is a non-partisan issue, the Liberals just get caught more often.
