He's absolutely correct. Retaliation against Hamas was appropriate, even though that was what Hamas wanted. But the IDF starved the innocent. They bombed the innocent. Not accidentally, on purpose. That changes the equation.

I've had some conversations with people in the region (iraq, tunisia, israel etc). At one point in time I thought there could be a peaceful solution, I don't any longer.
The brainwashing that entire region has undergone is crazy. Either people who think israel is the cause of everything bad in the world ever, bordering on "jews rule the world" type shit. Or Israels who think that if they don't have constant over the top aggression then they're going to be wiped out. And when confronted with reality and facts that don't suit their narratives, they lose their minds.
