God forbid we trounce on a rapist murderers rights.
Yea, I don't think ANYBODY gives half a turd about Bernardo's rights and or feelings.
This is the first thing I was thinking though:
The media needs to inform, not create a soap-opera. Everyone already knows what happened. The more publicity that is given the man in any form undermines his being punished. Some criminals commit crimes just to get on the air. Limit the exposure! I am quite certain that if I were in the victim's families' shoes, I would not want to be constatnly reminded about the event, especially with the nature of the media. You would never know when it would air or for how long.
like in russia and stays in russia... but a bullet in his head, and charge the family for the round spent....
Of course, I defended the judge's defense of the guy's rights on the basis that there were rights there that might be infringed upon, not just a judge saying he was worrying of infringing on rights so as to keep the video from becoming public for some unknown reason.
ummmm....Bernardo has rights?
Yes, actually. So as to protect the lives of people who are wrongfully accused, prosecuted, and sometimes convicted, we protect the rights of all criminals. It is for the good of the wrongfully accused that we pay this price.
