wow. It makes you wonder what the 141 Canadian Troops that have made the ultimate sacrifice fought for if this piece of shit is willing to make this statement. I have an idea, lets pull our troops out now and watch this fucking country decend into anarchy on TV, and when it starts breeding terrorists again, nuke it. What an utter diservice to the NATO servicemen and wormen that have died for THIER freedom.

and when it starts breeding terrorists again,

I dont think they have ever stopped.

I imagine Karzai has a worse job than Musharraf, and he's gone.

One message for the locals and another for the outside
is perfectly normal in politics.

Not like he will be able to take the government with him. Let him go and take his corrupt cronies with him.

Might as well pull out - it will descend into anarchy as soon as we pull out, no matter how many NATO troops still sacrifice their lives. Unless we're prepared to stay there for generations, there is no way we're going to reform that country to a civil society as we understand it.

What's with the nuke stuff? Are you twelve? Do you really think nuking Astan is a viable option?

He's not too far removed from what some of the people in the Pakistan military are considering. Pakistan considers the Taliban a very real threat to the sovereignty of Pakistan and their military has hinted that they will use their nukes against the Taliban and Afghanistan if that is what is deemed necessary for the survival of Pakistan.

I seriously doubt that the USA or anyone else would really complain too loudly if Pakistan erased Afghanistan.

Just wishful thinking - the after effects would be insane, including the fallout. Astan is pretty invulnerable to nuke attack anyway. So you blow up Kabul and a few other centers - the country would still pretty much function (or not function) as it does now. But the blowback from other Muslim countries - wow. And of course the US would be accused of being behind it, so it and the west would get some blowback as well. This idea is just a wankfest.

No I am well aware there is no Nuclear Option, nor is Nuking appropriate but it would be entertaining to watch.

All NATO countries should pull out now. Karzai was never serious about
helping anyways. Let's get out, let that backwards little shithole go
down the tubes. And if Pakistan gets pissed off and blows up Afghanaland,
double bonus.

The fly in the ointment is that it could go the other way and Pstan become Talibani.

Joining the Tailban??? Is this an April Fools thing? That's actually pretty funny.

QBall @ Tue Apr 06, 2010 1:58 pm

Maybe we should show him photos of what happened to the other Taliban and ask him to rethink his statement. Either that or pull out completely by tomorrow and watch him squirm.

Arctic_Menace @ Tue Apr 06, 2010 2:36 pm

Here's the problem with leaving guys... It makes those deaths almost meaningless. If we can't help/fix this country, then soldiers from around the world died for nothing in a long, costly and pointless war.
