$1:
Federal government lawyers had argued that the disclosures of U.S. information could cause rifts with American intelligence. Judge Mosley did not dispute this. "It may cause some harm to Canada-U.S. relations," he ruled, but added he expects the damage will be "minimal."

This judge is a f'n Idiot.

+ CSIS should have a tape where the POS took a gun and put it in his mouth and saved the taxpayers of Canada a ton of cash.

How are we ever supposed to win a war when we give the courts rights they shouldn't have when it comes to war. They don't actually have jurisdiction here and they should be put in their place, by the government.
This is the result of placing activist judges on the bench. One huge reason why judges should be elected and not as a political favour, whether a conservative or Liberal appointment. Politicians need to stay out of the court business and the court needs to stay out of political arena. Although there are reasons against plebiscites on ballots the Khadr inscident would be a good reason for plebiscites. Although to wait for one before prosecution by a war tribunal (and not the courts) wouldn't be prudent, we'd need another way.

...If we did the same kind of shit that we do today with the Taliban during World War Two...would we have lost? I say yes.

Good for the Supreme Court for basically committing treason.

Years of out of touch, soft on crime, turnstile justice judges has come home to roost. What a joke.

On the contrary, this is a welcome development. Video footage will give many Canadians their first taste of what's happening at Gitmo and stimulate public debate over the Khadr issue.

Some would rather have it out of site and out of mind so they dont feel guilty about ignoreing it.

I'm glad to see the video. He's in an orange suit and NOT being beheaded on video. Seems to me he's being treated much better than his thugs treat others. He looks well taken care of in fact. I feel no guilt. None of us should.

Especially for not bowing down to that level which would be a huge sign of weakness on anyone's part.
