That's what bothers me about today. Clearly Islam takes the blame for this one but there's also not gonna be a shortage of Christian fundie pukes taking a "well, maybe the guy was right with this one" attitude about it. Saying this thing in Florida isn't based in crackpot religion is as dumb and disingenuous as saying the PP Clinic shooter in Colorado also wasn't motivated and hopped up on religion. Defending an ideology and saying that it isn't responsible, even when the bodies are still bleeding out on the ground, and then on top of it try to insert something far less relevant as the main problem is something only a truly malicious asshole would do.

   

Yes, and I've seen comments from Progressives ultra times infinity worse than anything that Christian Lieutenant Governor said, but they had nothing to do with this issue. Saying they did would be a lame attempt at diversion. As this "oh look a Christian said something nasty" BS was.
