If we are going to feed bears before hibernation (they are plundering our garbage cans) because otherwise they might starve due to lack of food on the mountains, is that ok?

Bears = omnivores, will kill for food
Moose = herbivores, will lick you to death?

Ah. So you suggest we all cuddle moose, who are bigger than us, and have hoofs that kill you with one hit? :roll:

Especially when they have their offspring with them?

Sure seems like a good advice.

When is the last time you heard of a bear kill anyone, when the bear was not feeling attacked? the bears here turn away, because they are scared of humans. UNLESS they feel attacked.

Anyway, I don't feel like getting in a discussion with you, while we all know that WE are living in their territory. I wish you luck cuddling your moose, that your neighbour is going to shoot because it is wounded, and as far as I have learned in my short time here, "we" can and will shoot wounded animals, because that is the right thing to do, and it fills the freezer. Hell, even the border patrol does it.

I was taught NOT to feed wildlife. Period.

In most cases, that is the best route. If you, like this guy near Red Deer, can't stand the thought of two animals slowly dying while you could have done something, then you take responsibility for your actions. To each, their own.

As are horses, cows, deer, and every other hoofed mammal.

What you're trying to compare here is completely different.

This moose is in fenced "compound" and will remain there until it's injuries are better, or it dies. :-)

Cutie, seriously. Moose come and go in this backyard. They can jump. These people feed them every year.

Nope, but I have been around a couple years, or so and have read a few hundred posts. I have seen how you treat people when you disagree with them. :-)
