Freedom of Religion is also there to protect we who don't believe as well. Although I would look into abolishing all religious tribunals. No matter what a person believes in, our country's laws need to come first.
I don't see how freedom of religion protects non-religious people. As far as I can see, it's a special freedom extended to those who subscribe to particular insitituionalized beliefs.
Its a fairly easy logical step to extend freedoms from people of religious belief to people of other belief systems.

We have to stick to our principles of common law. We must be a secular society to progress. If we allow religion to creep into our public institutions we will be regressing. Not only do I not condone muslims being given extended rights in our western societies, but I wish they would take away whatever rights they have given Jews and Christians.
America is great example of secularism. Truly, kudos to the founding fathers for this. Keep the state and public education system secular, and allow people to practice a religion of their choice in the privacy of their homes, churches, and with family.
Boooo to Canada for appeasing the Catholics, because by appeasing them, they have opened to flood gates of other religions to want a piece of the religious-institutionalized pie.
