Come on folks. Step right up and get sued.
Frankly why not.
The Liberals have putting malicious spin on this for years. Only one caveat , that if his speech was in the commons itself he cant be sued (i dont like that either but thts the way it si). But if this liberal propeller-head made these accusation outsdie the commons, then by all means eh should be sued into the ground

That $2 million Mulroney got for their last Liberal libel and slander against him will soon be dwarfed by the probable $20 million he'll get out of them for this current bit of idiocy they're engaging in. Pity the poor Libranos for making some sleazy Kraut cheque-kiter like KH Shreiber into their newest and bestest friend in the whole wide world.
Oh for (*insert explitive here*)! Mulroney should just move to the United States where suing for everything is acceptible. Look, examining this stuff is necessary and a primary function of government. Mulroney is the guy who blatantly violated the court decision to pay Schrieber, then when Schreiber appealed Mulroney somehow got the court to not only permit him to continue to breach the court order but ruled Schrieber has to pay Mulroney $64,000! Mulroney is a scam artist and the judge that made that ruling should be fired.
Last time Mulroney sued for $50,000 and got $2.1 million. The judge should have been fired for awarding anything. But if Mulroney is sueing for $20 million this time, don't expect he'll get even a fraction of that.
Really Winterpegger, in your bitter partisanship you are barely coherent. Stop and take a deep breath---you are going to have a stroke.

Ladies and Gentleman, the following bout is for the staggering sum of 2 million dollars. Are you ready? Canada, Are. You. Rrready? Then, for the thousands in attendance... and the millions watching around the world... ladies and gentlemen... (dramatic pause) LLLLLET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!
(with apologies to Michael Buffer)
Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a rematch bout.
My monies on the guy from Baie-Comeau, Quebec, since his opponent, the Liberal Party of Canada has been officially dropped from a heavy weight to a feather weight by the Canadian Public.
I just hope we don't end up paying for the Lib's accusations....................again.
If you feel I'm too partisan and harsh on Conservatives, realize there's not one more harsh to a political party than an ex-member.
When I was young I waffled between the Progressive Conservative and Liberal parties. When I saw the Liberal deficit grow exponentially I thought Joe Clark's Conservatives would be a good change. Call me a Red Tory. However, he called an election after only 9 months in office. I thought Joe Clark should never have done that. After Joe, Brian Mulroney got in. He used every underhanded trick he could get away with to win the leadership race, a real slime ball. Remember I was leaning toward Conservative at that time. Brian Mulroney promised to eliminate the deficit, reduce the debt, and reduce taxes. Great! Exactly what I wanted to hear. Unfortunately he did the exact opposite; after 2 full terms of government he increased the deficit ($38 billion when he took office in 1984, $42 billion when he left in 1993), doubled the debt, and increased taxes. That included creating the GST and surtax. In 1993 I didn't trust any of the party leaders or any of the party platforms. So I talked to the local candidates, I made a point of going to their campaign headquarters and talking to the candidate personally. I found the local PC guy made sense, and strongly disagreed with what everything every other candidate said. Actually the NDP incumbent's campaign headquarters didn't let me talk to the candidate, they were arrogant. Not the candidate, just campaign office staff; I never did talk to the incumbent that election. So I actually helped the PC guy. I was shocked when the PC's got only 2 seats. After Kim Campbell's statement on camera for a CBC reporter "An election is not a time to talk about issues, an election is a time to talk about personalities. We'll talk about issues after I'm elected." I knew the PC party would lose after that statement. However, I expected to become the official opposition, not lose party status. Kim's statement killed the party. She actually said that the deficit would not be eliminated before the end of the century, the debt and taxes would go up until then. After the election I felt lost; didn't know who to support.
Then some guy I never heard of before was appointed finance minister, Paul Martin. He managed to cut spending, eliminate the deficit, reduce the debt, and reduce taxes. That included abolishing the surtax. Jean Chrétien promised to eliminate the GST, but what he told other Liberals is he wanted to replace the GST with a VAT. That is the same thing with another name. Paul Martin thought that was dishonest so wouldn't have it. A Liberal MP was made the scape goat and they kept the GST. They did keep their other promises from the Red Book though. I noticed Stephen Harper published a Blue Book during the last election. It appears he can steal all the good ideas from other parties, including Liberal ideas.
I still won't trust Stephen Harper. He is certainly not a Red Tory. I could be a Red Tory or a Blue Liberal, but Paul Martin's performance made my decision clear. Unfortunately he's gone now. Rather than jumping ship again, I decided to talk to Liberal leadership candidates personally, one-on-one, and choose the individual who I thought was the best of the bunch. I chose Stéphane Dion. Unfortunately he promised to reduce corporate income tax to 19%; I wanted to freeze it at 21% and cut personal income tax. Hrmph! Furthermore correspondence with Dion's office has resulted in a form letter response; I expected better since I was a Dion delegate at the leadership convention. That lost feeling is coming back again.
Still, Mulroney is the (*expletive*) who betrayed the Canadian people and got me and others to leave the PC party. I want to see him fry.

Myopic assessments. The former less honourable that we thought PM knows the truth, the man doth protest too much me thinks. The moronic, comment and reference to "kraut" is just an example of blind followings, the man took $300K for doing something... what was it??? What was it that the former PM did to garner that cash-- note cash because even a prime minister knows, cash can rarely be traced unless your really dumb and deposit into the family account. As for the liberals (liberanos), well... the taxpayer paid that and once again... for what? They were onto something but agreed to retreat trying to save the face of the country and former, questionable honour of a former PM.
the lawyers are just going to love this whole mulroney / schreiber thing , the inquiry and all the lawsuits equals big business .
