What we know is not much, the authorities won’t surrender information to the public willingly and our media is in general pretty useless, especially should this attack run against their Kool-Aid narrative. Remember that we only learned Alek Minassian’s name from a US news source yesterday and it isn’t the first time we’ve had to rely on them for news of events happening in our own backyard particularly when it involves terrorism.
Conflicting reports state that Minassian was known or unknown to authorities. At this point and until proven otherwise I am leaning to the “known” side as the report originated from the US.
Minassian is an Armenian name and Christianity is the predominant Armenian religion, subgroups such as the Hemshi were Islamicized. It may be he was simply a lunatic without a political or religious motive but expect a very tight-lipped official response should the religion of peace enter the frame.
The spontaneous public memorial’s were going up before sundown yesterday. Bollards will follow as sure as May flowers follow April’s showers.

That cop is one cool customer. Most others might just have ended him, and done the paperwork. Instead, we have someone who gets to serve as an example to others, unlike the shitstain Elliot Rodger.

Have you noticed this new trend? when it comes to violence/killing people, We hear shooting at X place or individual blowing himself up.....quite common.
But this trend of using giant vehicles to mow people down has just come recently...Morons are getting sophisticated and we probably still haven't figured out to how to counter this kind...
How we gonna remain safe from this? avoid passing by vehicles....???
This is very disturbing and frustrating.
Trouble is that as soon as they figure out how to counteract this form of attack, the crazies and radicals will think up a new one. So, it unfortunately seems we'll always be one step behind on the protection curve.
Given the ease of instruction on the internet I'm sure that there are idiots out there searching the web for new and improved ways to create carnage and hurt as many innocents as possible.

The radio said this guy made it into basic at St. Jean but washed out after 16 days. Didn't like discipline, didn't get along with other recruits and was unable to maintain dress standards.

I tink that vehicles should have a kill switch that cuts the fuel when an impact of sufficient force is sensed. Won't stop it, but the perp will have to restart the vehicle after every collision.

Can't agree more. The only common denominator I see among all violence and its instruments is FEAR....killing in a way which creates fear and disturbance in society

Given rise of vehicle related violence...Worth trying, I say. Or may be installing sensors on streets which starts ringing/shouting when vehicle over-speeds or get on footpath.

Great. Just great. So instead of taxpayers only having to pay for a bullet, now we all have to foot the lifetime prison bill for this piece of garbage who should be fed to the wolves or worse! And due to the pathetic justice system we have, the families will not get closure, but instead watch this shit stain walk in 10 years or less for good behaviour!
Sorry, but I would rather seen him capped and unable to cause any more harm, than locking him up in a Canadian vacation resort prison.
