Just as a bit of an aside, I haven't been able to find any other articles about Muslim center being scrapped. Not to slag on Haaretz, but I haven't found any other mentions of this apart from blogs linking to the Haaretz article.
So either Haaretz is mistaken or my Google skills aren't what they once used to be....

I think Haaretz *may* have been on to something but once they made it public all the players involved went into denial mode and manned the barricades. If there were any secret discussions going on then this leak in the press put an end to them.

Try reading all of it. The networks may have not sent a truck, but the papers covered it, unlike the claims.

I've never seen nor heard of the SF crowd having a problem with the muslims so I don't think canyadoit would be welcome there. I know it's fashionable to call someone a Nazi when it's convenient but it's always a good idea to keep in mind who these people really are else the insult rings hollow.
