I'm going to need a bigger cat. 8O

I wonder how these mink and dog rathunters would make out with the super rats.

Some of the rats around the Lakehead grain elevators carry away the farrow cats and dogs. 8O

Do they have wide, flat tails?

Robair @ Mon Feb 09, 2015 10:55 am

You don't measure the tail. That's a 10 inch rat. :P

Good size for a Saskatchewan field rat, but not uncommon.

Poison resistant? Gonna need some farm dogs with tough faces.

Just let the terriers get a smell of the rats and the dog's instincts will spontaneously kick over into hyper-drive. As long as they've got their rabies shots up to date any dog worth the name would have the time of it's life if they get to go ratting.

those little terriers are tough as nails. One used to regularly try to take on my much bigger dog and get the shit kicked out of him (call it very rough play fighting), and still keep coming back. then he'd hop into my lap and want to snuggle rather than his owner's, who just had him for show.

Went skiing in Australian gully (where all the out of bounds numbnuts get in trouble) Very steep. My dog was an experienced backcountry dog, had no problem. Took the terrier along once, which was definitely not built for this sort of thing. He'd sit at the top of the slope yapping, me calling him to come. He'd finally get up the courage and ski down on his butt, steering with his front legs, until he'd crash into some heather or such. Repeat several times till we made it to the bottom. Tough.

It is thought that the rat population in the UK was 80 million at the start of 2014 and 160 million at the end of it.

If that's the case, then rats outnumber humans in the UK by over 2-1.

Jabberwalker @ Wed Feb 11, 2015 5:47 am

The BNP will take care of that with tougher immigration policies.

ShepherdsDog @ Wed Feb 11, 2015 6:49 am

Well there's two ways they can deal with it....let Asians open more restaurants or tell the Pakistanis that the rats are Jewish.

Jabberwalker @ Wed Feb 11, 2015 10:40 am

... or tell the Chinese that really long rats tails are an aphrodisiac ...

ShepherdsDog @ Wed Feb 11, 2015 10:49 am

They don't need that reason to eat rat...it's already on the menu. Sort of ironic that they eat Splinter to get a splinter.
