Restraining a large combative man so you can get a IV into them is pretty difficult. If tasering him allowed them to get the IV in, then they probably saved his life. The lady should be thanking them if that is the case.

Hey, yea, taser a guy you KNOW is in rough medical shape. The added stress can't POSSIBLY do any harm.

Yeah, I think tasering is standard procedure for heart attacks, isn't it? It has a number of medical benefits.

He wasn't having a heart attack, he was diabetic.
6 foot 220 pounds and combative.
The paramedics said they needed to get the IV in.

that is a big boy, 6 foot and 230. He attempted to bite a cop. The Cops have to protect themselves too, and if that means a diabetic gets zapped, then the diabetic gets zapped. You don't try to bite a cop. bleed on bleeding hearts, bleed on...

hey how about people who have Epiliptic Seizures might have to taser them more than once.then again might not tell the diff from a seizure,or a taser reaction

Seriously though, there's a world of difference between your average 6 foot 230 pound boxer and your average 6 foot 230 pound diabetic. I don't actually see him being all that dangerous of a person physically.
