"It’s possible eating these chips with high concentration of capsaicin could cause death," Chai said. "It would really depend on the amount of capsaicin that an individual was exposed to. At high doses, it can lead to fatal dysrhythmia or irreversible injury to the heart."

Coming in from the cold: Heat pump efficiency at low temperatures
$1:
Heat pumps are two to three times more efficient than fossil fuel alternatives in places that reach up to -10C, while under colder climates (up to -30C) they are 1.5 to two times more efficient.
Shameful wokeness makes it cheaper to heat and cool your home, without using fossil fuels.

They are very clever for sure and I know we have talked about them many times.
The crows that hang out at the strip mall where I work have some interesting routines. One thing I've observed many times is when they are walking around on the ground and want to cross over the driveway between the mall sections is that they will use a pedestrian crosswalk to do so, even intentionally walking to the left or right to get to it. I swear there are times I've seen them pause and look left and right to make sure it's safe.
