I suspect, that like the two CPC candidates that were recently turfed, that this is really about party politics and party discipline. The transgender thing sure is a handy out for her (him?) though.

Dont fret my friend this story will be gone in a couple of days, but if it was the conservatives i'm sure the flames would be fanned for a month or two and perhaps and enquiry launched were Preston Manning would be summoned to testify or something.

We are all aware of Layton's "commitment" to freedom of conscience. Remember, he threw an MP out the caucus for voting against SSM.
I think he is arrogant enough to believe that since he won a by-election in the province the NDP is actually a serious player in Quebec.
