So what happened to the news Section?

   

You get what you pay for.

   

^^ No one used it, so why keep it running?

   

It's been broken for a long time, so wasn't being updated since posting new links was broken.

So many other news sources and aggregators now, I mean it was created before there was even social media. Often it was just a starting point for a forum discussion thread and that can still be done.

   

There were some quirks too. Like if a story didn't get viewed X number of times in 2 hours, it would be hidden. But the breakage was partly in the time stamping function, so sometimes a story would be hidden right after it was submitted. This confused me often.

I'll miss the news section, but then again this is the most posts we've had in months!
