No need, he didn't say that he would neither raise taxes or limit spendings, which is what Iggy said.
"Disciplined spendings" means that he will cut in many things, which is possible and doesn't involve money appearing from thin air.

The fact that when Iggy claimed he would eliminate the deficit without tax increases the outcry from the con core was extremely loud and shrill.

Read the comments by the morons who are now not saying word one about Harper claiming the same thing. For that matter where were you? You seem to jump in loads of times on political threads to question me so why are you not aware of this?
Are we then to assume that Harper has a magic wand (the wand the con pundits said Iggy must have) to use to eliminate his own deficit?

There's other way of raising revenue.
Usually a cut in services, maintenance, etc.
