Well great. To recap known history then... Noah's Ark is in Iran. Santa lives at the North Pole. The United States has done no wrong. I'm glad we had this little chat.
I do not doubt that many, many years ago near the Persian Gulf there was once a flood and some elderly man had already made a somewhat large boat, which he then loaded with a few animals.
And many came to hear of such a story.

I thought maybe it may have happened in the Nile. Didn't that river flood to miles wide in the rainy season? Some guy got smart enough and decided to ride the flood waters to higher ground instead of hoofing it on foot a month before the floods came.
They just don't know..... 2 years ago, they were looking at some mountain in Turkey.
You are correct it is called MT ARARAT
Was at a marina on Sunday, this pipsqeak tried to sell it to me.
The story originates from ancient Mesopotamia, where the Euphrates river would flood quite irregularly and feircely. Study the Epic of Gilgamesh, which the story of Noah's Ark is probably based upon.

That is one theory, although its historicity (and the Biblical one – although I’m certainly no expert on Biblical hermeneutics, but I see value in its approach) can be very tricky to evaluate.
Mesopotamian flood stories abound though – some are Sumerian, Akkadian (Assyrian and Babylonian – that’s Gilgamesh, but he’s predated by other narratives heroes) – and many secular historians see similarities, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the Biblical story directly drew from one primary source.
Without upsetting the literalists, the likelihood that the Bible’s Flood Story is accurate is highly doubtful, but if archaeological evidence emerges to challenge that assumption, I’ll be sure to revaluate my position.

It's simply literally impossible to place all species of animals on a boat.
Well, now, that's a whole different matter.

Yep. Well....not now, but back then yes. Even now it would be really fucking hard.

Not only that, but in order to get two of every species, that meant that Noah and his brothers would have had to traverse the globe, which was relatively unknown at the time. Plus, that meant that the Earth was round, which was denied many times by the Church and "established individuals".
Aaaaand......
Just because two of every species gets on a boat(were that conceivable), that does not mean that they will mate. Just look at Ling Ling the Panda...
it simply does not make any sense no matter how you look at it.
BTW, I made Atlantis disappear into the sea, as they were getting too cocky and their production of Grease did not fit my liking....
ever hear of evolution?
