Suckers!!!!

Why? What is the reasoning?
The Indian casinos lobbied the hell out of the Republicans to pass this bill as online gaming was cutting into their earnings.
This wasn't about morality - it was about money and graft.
Here I am a conservative and I'm sorely disappointed with the Republicans over this. The Bush Administration has been arresting people who run gambling operations in other countries according to the laws of those countries and I am PISSED at the precedent they've set.
So now, as an American, if I travel to a foreign country they can prosecute me for violating their laws in the United States even though such actions might be legal or even protected in the USA.

Mostly because of what bart said and on top of that it was an un-taxed industry. LOTS of money was going into it and the Gov. was not getting a cent.
