Unfortunately, the damage done by gravy-based fuels cannot be accurately measured. We don't know how our current climate would differ from one affected only by naturally-occurring gravy.

I believe that is the crux of the matter. There is no doubt that the climate is changing and rather quickly. Is it natural? or us? or a combination of both. Me thinks the latter. As I've said before, you can't keep peeing in the pool, if you do, before long you're swimming in piss. Sorry all, we've been peein in the pool for a few centuries now. All that pollution can't be doing nothing to the environment.

Actually gravy will put out the fire.
It's all due to the latent heat stored a molecule of obnoxious. This heat gets released when the hitching process occurs and become accelerated when mixed with a molecule of grantus moneycus.

Yes, teasing anthropomorphic forcing from natural variability is tough. Global warming is, I gather, now officially at a standstill for the last 16 years. Still the CO2 accumulates in the atmpsphere. Interesting. It's like turning your oven on and it doesn't heat up. OCean currents? Sunspots? Who knows. I'm going with sunspots.
The Arctic is still warming though, and that has implications for Canada

In the end gravy-based fuels will produce a body count even higher than that of swimming pools.
Sigh. We should legalize pot and avoid this horrible fate altogether.

Agreed. But, I can't see us stopping the pissing anytime soon. More and more little pissers born every day, and they all want to get to piss as much as the well off pissers do, and who can blame them. Maybe if we put them on a better diet, cut out the soft drinks and add more water, the piss at least won't be as toxic.

Canada is absolute experiencing warming - we seem to be getting it worse than most other places. We'd better be learnign how to deal with that - one example given was mine tailings in ponds that are above permafrost that is melting. Mountain Pine Beetle - need I say more? So even if there is no global warming, there certainly is Canadian warming and how much CO2 Canada puts out won't make a bit of difference here - we need an adaptation strategy instead of wasting money on ineffective mearsures.

It may be interesting to note that several of the "pro-green energy" countries have cut off subsidies to green energy suppliers. Germany completely eliminated all green energy subsidies and is going back to lignite.
Britain has eliminated green energy subsidies because they've been finding out the hard way that green energy=negative employment(something that's happening in Ontario as well).
Denmark has put the kibosh on any new wind farms or the expansion of existing ones.
And IIRC, Holland's love affair with green energy is coming to an end as well.
That's not to say that we should just pollute away, but it would seem that current green energy technologies are NOT solving any problems and are in fact, causing even more problems.
Look at Ontario. Billions of dollars spent on 1500MW of wind power. Yet Ontario's emissions from hydro generation hasn't dropped one bit. Rates sure went through the roof though. And what of the 50,000 jobs green energy was supposed create in Ontario?
McNuggets claimed the Windsor tower plant would employ 900 people. Reality: 50 people work there.
McNuggets claimed the plant in Wallaceburg that makes turbine blades would employ 600 people. Reality: 30 people work there.
Meanwhile, over 60,000 jobs in ONtario have disappeared, many of them due to the skyrocketing hydro rates in Ontario, though certainly not all.

Methinks cheap labour, tax incentives, and/or lower regulation elsewhere might have be a tad more influential in most of those plants closing...

Don't forget the USA where Obama poured over $100 billion in subsidies into 'green energy' only to see one company after another go bankrupt and default on their Federal loans.

Based on the news coming out of Norway, we are missing a good bet in renewables in not exploiting the energy potential of goat cheese.
