The Left's band aid solution with First Nations has always been to throw money instead of trying to help them. It's the same band aid solution limousine Liberals use when they go to a small village in Kenya in their Range Rovers to build a new shiny water well. After it's built they pat them selves on the back leaving in their Range Rovers and 10 minutes after they leave the villagers strip the water well selling the parts to feed their families.
This is a list from October 2017 of the bands in Canada that are currently in one of three states of default management. Recipient Managed – Management Action Plan (MAP) is the best case scenario where the band makes a financial plan and submits it to the government. It's from the most stable of these that the government will give the financial grants with fewer strings attached.

So is Kashechewan First Nation, the one that frequently has to be evacuated due to public health crises because the government built the town on flood plane and also because the government built the town’s drinking water intake pipe downstream from the sewage outflow pipe
