I wouldnt put any blame on her aids, the only reason she was put on the ticket was to placate to those ultra right wingers who felt McCain was too liberal. The aids had to keep quite and cover up as many gaffs of hers as they could, or they wouldnt be doing their job. Now that they dont have to cover her ass anymore they can vent about how frustrated they were with this creature.

It is time for the Republicans to drop the ultra right and evangelicals from their base and court the middle of the road voters, fiscal conservatives, social conservatives (not the nuts), reformist, and small government ideologues. Ron Paul would be a start.

Republican Party before Nixon FTW.

C'mon Scape. [B-o] Although, I have noticed through some of your posts, that you do not like her very much. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. It's cool. But you seem to take this a bit personal.

The media always appeared to be a bit biased throughout the campaign. Barely any mention of Obama, eventhough, he obviously doesn't have any experience. Yet, any word from Palin seemed to be scrutinized. They made her out to be a complete joke eventhough she is not. At the same time, it seems a bit funny that nothing came out on Obama. Hey now, only questioning the media integrety here. One was being overly exposed while the other one was spared.

Name 1 disastrous interview Obama gave? Name 1 time when Obama slandered Palin or McCain directly based on former association, other than the McCain-Bush comparison? Name 1 instance when personal attacks were launched against Palin's character by Obama?

Hey, all I am saying is that Obama was being PROTECTED through the bias media, that's all.

After all, they determine what is being reported eh!

I think the media gave her a chance, and she dug herself a hole. Before she began speaking to the media there was a Palin craze. She is beautiful. That's all one needs in this media generation. Recite a speech and look pretty while doing it. Obama does it. Palin could too. She chose to go rogue, and hardcore right-winger.

I don't blame Palin for that. She is who she is. Somebody didn't do their homework before hand. And now they blame her and slander her family by calling them hillbillies.

Nah, the media should have been fair. They surely hid some reports from Obama, or at least did not give it as much importance. Their only spotlight was on Palin. I am not defending Palin and her comments.

Only that the media should have been fair. Not much to dig up on Obama since they was never intent to report it. That seems fishy to say the least. Since the media did not want to be seen as racist, therefore no reports done to spare them of criticism. Sure that seems fair. 8O

That may have to do with the fact that major media outlets are liberal (classical liberal). The real campaign was between Hillary and Barack. They both knew that whoever won that, they would have a damn good shot the presidency. The media then were less lenient on Obama. The Wright issue, his stance on abortion, his complete lack of experience. Also Obama gave himself a short in the arm by writing a biography of himself. He spilled the dirt before it could be dug out (drug abuse for example).

I think the problem is they said all they could have about him (and Hillary) there and then, and quite frankly they ran out of dirt.

With Palin it all came so sudden. So much material who for an individual who is seldom known.

All the dirt on her came out in the span of 9 weeks. Obama, it was 24 months.

In a way I am defending Palin, but not the GOP. Palin is, who Palin is. McCain is a smart man who should be canonized for putting up with this shit.

Add winning ones and you can include the mother of all VP goofs... Dan Quayle.

The Repubs really need to take more care when choosing running mates.

Remember Kissinger. Now he was the goof of all goofs. Apart from that he wasn't a goof. He was extremely malicious and paranoid individual who cost the deaths of thousands.

You're presenting opinion as fact.

C'mon Lil, I do not want to get too serious on this. Perhaps, that could be considered an opinion, but it could at the same same be considered a fact as well.

But you have to admit that there is bias in the media. Better yet, Agenda Setting Theory.

He is Obama's antithesis and was a good pick. His experience and Obama's inexperience matched well. Biden is politically intelligent. Something that cannot be said for Palin.
