WestJet flight makes emergency landing
By CP
WINNIPEG -- A WestJet plane enroute to Toronto from Calgary made an emergency landing in Winnipeg last night after the pilot radioed in with engine problems.
"The plane landed without incident at 8:45 p.m." said Christine Alongi, a spokeswoman for Richardson International Airport.
Airport emergency crews were called out on standby, along with Winnipeg Fire Department engines until the plane landed safely.
The pilot of WestJet Flight 158 made his landing request to the Winnipeg airport tower after spotting a low oil reading on the starboard engine, located on the right side of the Boeing 737 aircraft.
Reports said 106 people were on board and there were no injuries.
A WestJet spokesperson could not be reached to say if passengers and crew were to transfer to another plane to continue their trip.
The plane was airborne when the engine problem was discovered.
Has anyone heard what specific systems on the Bombardier affect it's certification at -40C and below?

Huh? What Bombardier?
I heard this guy in in Ireland now, talking to God should not be a problem as it has many churches I believe!
