$1:
Police wouldn't provide details of their ethnicity or say whether the men are British. They confirmed that some of the suspects were thought to be from outside Britain but declined to comment on media reports that they were of Algerian origin.

Interesting....was the Catholic Church diddling Algerian kids when it was part of France?

Algerian = muslim. :roll:

BartSimpson BartSimpson:
Algerian = muslim. :roll:

Now ...yes. A generation ago...no. Another interesting fact is that in all the Arab world, Algeria has the fastest growing Christian population, especially amongst the Berbers.

BartSimpson @ Fri Sep 17, 2010 11:32 pm

True, there used to be a pretty large Algerian Catholic population until they were driven out by the tolerant and cuddly muslims.

ShepherdsDog @ Fri Sep 17, 2010 11:44 pm

Most of them left in '62, but there seems to be a growth, especially of protestant Christians amongst the Berbers, now. In some areas 5 % of the population has been re converted despite death threats and government persecution/prosecution. I guess free will/free choice has no place in Islamic society....that's why it'll ll be so peaceful...no chance of a reformation.

Not that I'd support anyone harming the Pontiff, and hopefully these Algerian clowns end up doing life somewhere in the black hole of the British penal system. It is interesting to note that Benedicts's first words that he gave in Britain weren't about helping those harmed by generations of pedophile and pederast clerics raping children. Instead, in true political deflection mode he went on a rant about how the 'secular atheists' are to blame for everything bad that happens anywhere.

There, in a nutshell, is your Catholic church hierarchy for you. The least moral, the least decent, and the least responsible organization on the face of the planet railing against everyone else for how 'bad' they are. How Catholics can even follow any of these utterly evil little men is completely astounding to me.

Like a lot of early Christian beliefs(celibacy being a personal choice, clergy should be married to prove they can run their Church like their family, Jesus being a conservative Jew who claimed to be but a man who believed in the one God of Abraham, the whole idolatry thing etc), they{the CRoman Catholic Church] twisted Christ's words about 'suffer the little children' and it came out as 'make the little children suffer'.

Yepp, they were trying to kill him, anyway during Ioan II, he was the head of "Moral police". And every church answer on issue was made by him. So that's not surprice that he has a lot of enemies. As for killing him by muslims, they may do it just because they have nothing to do (or because of being dumbs), killing pope can't make them closer to their object. He's not political person. The times when religion was number one in list are in past.

Muslim radicals killing the Pope would have a unifying force on the West(Protestants, Secularists and Catholics alike), not seen in a loooong time, no matter how much people dislike the Catholic clergy. Hell, it's even probable the Orthodox Christians would get a little upset too. I'm afraid the Jihadis might get the holy war that they think they've been fighting all along. The Euros might come off as collaborating surrender monkeys right now, but something like this would make them go late 19th early 20th century on the Jihadis collective asses.

But our media and our politicians tell us that Muslims are peaceful and mean us no harm?

ShepherdsDog @ Sat Sep 18, 2010 6:00 am

they practice taqiyya too....more than anyone else on the planet actually.

EyeBrock @ Sat Sep 18, 2010 6:07 am

An interesting concept Shep.

angler57 @ Sat Sep 18, 2010 6:43 am

If the media and government tell us something, it has to be true.

EyeBrock @ Sat Sep 18, 2010 6:51 am

Anybody who speaks out against say the 911/GZ mosque or anything else that remotely debates western host-countries misgivings on radical Islam is a racist.
