Right-Wing Kooks Destroyed Convoy To Ottawa

Einstein: Contrary to your claim, She distracted nobody. She got zero press coverage. If you’re saying that a passing reference from Thanos means she ‘distracted the prog-comms’ and ‘made us look ridiculous ‘ once again it just proves how deep you are in ypur delusionary bubble
Wrongstein. There were two groups of protesters. The United we roll protesters were two or three football fields away from the antifa and professional protester group. Booked speakers such as Conservative Prime Minister candidates, Maxime Bernier and Andrew Scheer were to speak to United We Roll. The worry was the Commie rabble rousers would trek over and disrupt those speakers. Faith went down to where they were before they could organize their attack and
distracted them. Yay Faith.
This has already been explained to you but apparently we've run into the ol' Beavers have thick heads problem. They're either thick or they've had too many trees dropped on them, or something.

LMAO Ya ok. That’s what happened. The Right values Faith so much they used her as cannon fodder for Antifa

The reality is that security kept the crazies like Goldy and Antifa away from where the growm-ups were talking when it was time for scheer and co to make their appearance
It was explained to you earlier in the thread, Bud. I get that you have problems understanding basic concepts but you have to understand why I can't devote the rest of my life explaining these simple things to you. For one thing you're not paying me.
Do you not have somebody like a special ed teacher or something who can help you?
Douwe Douwe:
The convoy protesters haven't shown a good deal of judgement in any of their protests. Rolling around the Anthony Henday in Edmonton and buggering up traffic for thousands of commuters certainly didn't endear any of them to many of the citizens of pro-pipeline Edmonton. In fact protesting in a city that supports the oil industry really made very little sense. As others have pointed out what also hurt their cause were the nut cases that attached themselves to the protest carrying anti-UN and anti-immigration signs.
Au contraire! I think that is a brilliant way to protest. Yes, it pisses a lot of people off, but too bad. Peaceful protest is a constitutional right, and that is a protest where no one gets hurt and the message is sent broadly.
All protests should have such an impact.

I am afraid I have to disagree. Protest is about alerting and winning people to your cause. If there is anyone in Edmonton who is not aware of the problems of the oil industry they must be living in a hole and as such the protest in Edmonton did little to win anyone over. Secondly, associating your cause with right-wing xenophobic kooks is also a complete fail, especially in a nation where one-third of the population is a first or second generation immigrant. Alberta's biggest problem in the last few decades is getting anyone outside of the province to accept its point of view. I saw little in the convoy protest that would win anyone over.

You have that backwards. The Kooks latched on to them.

Did they publicly reject the ideas of the kooks?

Yup.

"But the problem was some of the participants were engaging in messages that were arguably racist, questions about that racism got raised, and then it became a matter of defending whether they were racists or not," she said. "Now that's not the message they wanted to focus on."

“No matter what you wear — whether you’re a yellow vest, blue coverall, white hardhat, black hardhat or a suit and tie — it doesn’t matter. The radicals can stay home. You’re not welcome to this rally.”

Ok, thanks
You forgot this part of your quote Doc:
$1:
The invitation extends to those who support the yellow vest movement, Carritt said, as long as they’re peaceful.
And they were peaceful.
You also forgot to tell us that the person you inferred was speaking for the populist movement was actually 'Lori Williams, an associate professor of policy studies at Calgary's Mount Royal University."
She appeared to be concerned about something she was calling 'Racism.' I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that what she meant by that was people in the movement concerned about illegal immigration or objections to the Liberals new laxing of the rules concerning immigration.
From what I saw the issues of concern at the Ottawa rally were expressed in this pic:
https://villagemedia.blob.core.windows. ... nvoy4.jpegNo extremism there. Legitimate concerns. The only "extremists" I saw at that rally were Antifa and the paid protesters of the left.
