Russia-Ukraine: Russian Invasion of Ukraine

Russia can send it's troops to Ukraine, but if we do it would be an act of war. :lol:

The Russian economy is hooked on war and war industry like a crack addict. They can't retool as this has been the way it has been since Stalin. Sure, the wall fell and oligarchy took over but they took over a war economy masquerading as a gas station. Then the oligarchy itself got rounded up and either forced out or pledge fealty to Putin. To keep the good times rolling Putin is FOCRCED to go to war and peddle war materials world wide to keep them afloat. He can't stop and what is worse is that they have been bleeding out slowly. This is why Russia is unstable as their reserves are only delaying the inevitable unless Russia can seriously challenge the world order to their advantage.

Chaos is their ally with seemingly endless manpower is their means. They may not be able to secure air and seas superiority but they can flatten the land and make it a no man's land. The cost of evicting them is a bargaining chip they are using to secure Crimea.
