At last he's ina German Jail where he belongs. He caused a lot of misery for a lot of people, just like our financilal cheats.

Thanos @ Mon Aug 03, 2009 12:56 pm

Meanwhile, back at the outhouse, Liberals are spinning together a conspiracy theory about the "suddeness" of Schreiber's extradtion.

In Newfie-nese: 'Tis aaall Stevy-boy Haaaapah's faaalt!

No it's all Brian Mulroney's fault. Steve just wants to sweep it under the rug.

Looks like you Libs lost your next senator.

I still want to hear who was paying for him to stay and fight all these legal battles. He's been using this stale bag of tricks for a decade now and we cn be sure the arms companies he used to work for wouldn't trust him with any more money.
I wouldn't be supprised to hear that a lot of those old Liberal, brown paper envelopes filled with cash were paying for this.

Curtman @ Mon Aug 03, 2009 2:53 pm

Our Prime Minister allegedly accepted money from him and used his position to promote the sale of his weapons around the world.

You don't think that is worth investigating?

ridenrain @ Mon Aug 03, 2009 2:56 pm

Stop spinning bullshit again.
He was a private citizen at the time.
What sales?

The whole investigation has been kept on the boil because the Libs are desperate some of it will stick to Harper. None of that's happening though. This whole thing has been a hugely expensive, political witch hunt.

A private citizen? Really?

$1:
Entering into an agreement while still in office to lobby the federal government on behalf of Schreiber would be an apparent violation of the ethics standards Mulroney implemented after taking power in 1984.

Mulroney told the commission he accepted $225,000 in cash from Schreiber to promote the sale of those vehicles internationally. He testified he didn't ask for cash and said there was nothing "sinister" in accepting it.

Mulroney admitted to taking the sum but not reporting the cash payments for income-tax purposes until six years after he started getting them.

Awwww.. Nobody wants to talk about Schreiber anymore. It was only fun when it made the Liberals look bad?

One for the road..

$1:
Bill Clinton lied under oath about a blow job
Brian Mulroney lied under oath about envelopes stuffed with cash

Squeaky clean.

That idiot should have been sent to Germany a long damn time ago, long before this waste of money inquiry started up.

People say he was a genius.... I say he was an idiot and people who fell for his crap were brain dead, gullible morons.

He was supposed to be sent off to Germany to live the rest of his miserable little life behind bars and he used countless appeals, countless court challenges and a pile of other crap to avoid being sent to a german jail.

Then days before he was finally going to be carted off like the waste of space he is, he comes out with this brilliant fiasco of illegal money dealings with our former PM and would be the biggest thing to happen in Canadian politics ever.

And people took him seriously?

FFS how stupid can people be???

If this was such a big thing, why the hell didn't he come forward with this earlier? This happened what? the 80's?? And he comes forward with this just days before he was going to be sent to Germany?

Gee I wonder why?

Maybe to delay and find some extra way to avoid going to jail and to save his sorry ass, perhaps?

Gee.... so profound.

And yet people made a big stink and figured he might have something worthwhile to investigate, so Canada holds onto him a wee bit longer, we all go through this long-winded inquiry with a pile of his crap-ass records and documents that point to nothing, prove nothing, shows nothing.... except show the reality that he's wasting all of our time and dragging Brian's name further into the mud just to save his sorry little ass.

I don't like Biran all that much and certainly not a big fan of his, but I know when people are being duped and the fact that so many people took Schreiber seriously and didn't see that this was just his last damn attempt to avoid going to Germany to rot in a jail, just proves how stupid our politicians really are.

What a complete waste of time, money and resources to look into absolutely nothing.

Some other people 'ought to be sent to jail over this as well.... mainly the idiots who approved this inquiry based on nothing and couldn't see past their own partisanship at the public's expense.

What a piss off that this was allowed to occur in the first place.

The very first moment I heard this in the news, I knew how this would unfold, and it did unfold exactly as I expected.

Just pathetic.

Added:

The only thing that made him any sort of genius was that he was smart enough to know that our government was stupid enough to be played like this for his own benifit and knew that our political parties would be easily played like puppets to gain their own little selfish political gains to mud sling the other.

This whole thing is an embarassment for Canada and I imagine other countries, especially Germany were watching and laughing at us as we jumped through his hoops

I don't think anybody did until Mulroney admitted taking the money for what he said the money was for.

Schreiber says.. Schreiber said anything possible to keep his ass out of jail in Germany and you Liberals paying for his Canadian vacation. Any proof? Any charges this time?

Only the Libs would jump into bed with a scheister like this, just to score some political points. It sure didn't work out though.
