No surprise Kessel went last.
Split the Sedins? Outrageous!
Team Thunder Bay vs. Team Lidstrom
Look at the bright side--no pressure on Kessel. If he goes o to score a couple, the story changes.
Sure, Kessel ended up being the final pick as the 36th selection, but it wasn't all bad news as he ended up with a new car and $20,000 US to go to the charity of his choice, not bad for being the last one picked....
What a pile of steaming horse *&^%. I was under the impression, that all teams were supposed to be represented. No Oilers, no Flames. Bettman needs to take a flying &*^%#* at a rolling donut, asshole has ruined the NHL I grew up watching.
I knew the Sedins would get split up and that Kessel would get picked last.
This will be the first ALL-STAR game I've watched since they switched the format from West vs East to NA vs Europe.
It would have been REALLY funny if, after Lindstrom selected Kessel, Staal had offered Lindstrom two 1st rounders and a 2nd for him.
1st and 2nd Stars............Thunder Bay.
No surprise Kessel was picked last (or was only 1 of 2 players on his team not to register a point). I think the shock of him being there in the first place subdued any other surprise.
