Shortly after the detectives left, Liberal leader St�phane Dion's press secretary, Mike Gendron, showed up in a cab. Mr. Gendron, who said he was a close friend of Mr. Meinzer, only learned of the allegations from the Citizen after arriving at the house.

Eggleton said Meinzer had worked for him when he was an MP, then worked for Ken Dryden, now the MP for York Centre, before returning to work for Eggleton in 2005.
Maybe this was another of those "entitlements" we keep hearing these Liberals are so fond of.
