Utterly contemptible. These destructive, disrespectful, little fucking wogs are only here because of the sacrifices their grand parents and great grand parents made defending the freedom they enjoy today and this statement speaks volumes about the sense of entitlement they seem to have.

'What is disgusting is that some people are more worried about a war memorial than the destruction of the welfare state.'

"Everybody's" entitled to protest but, "nobody's" entitled to riot so, if these savages can muster up enough energy to run amok, break the law and deface memorials to their betters, they should be able to muster up enough fucking energy to find a job and help pay for any cuts to their beloved welfare state.

Well said. [B-o]

Too bad the number of leftists disagree with that. They think rioting is a right. :?

So right after a fair election that produces a clear majority government, the losers, who must represent a minority (probably an extremely small one) riot. It's a damned good thing that them and their's aren't leading that country. A small minority that feels entitled do ANYTHING to impose their will on the rest of us is the root of Leninism, Stalinism, The Khmer Rouge, ...

This was probably just some punk. Probably a teenager still developing their political stance, and as usual is going too far, as most people who are new to things, go.

Well, it was more than one punk, when 15 were arrested. But most of them were young, as is usually the case. And yes, probably in few years some of these hard-left anarchists will wind up working in the City and doing real damage to society. Anybody that really wants to bring down capitalist society, just get a job in finance and follow the SOP. Invest Russian mob money, mess with the LIBOR rate, all that good stuff.

OTOH, the number of protesters was given as "dozens" so hardly a mob to worry much about.

$1:
In London, police said an estimated crowd of 100 people gathered outside Tory HQ before moving on to Downing Street.

By no means a huge riot, but still can get out of hand.

As my father said yesterday, "no change will come from the U.K".

Their punishment should be cleaning the latrines in every legion hall across the country, with a toothbrush. A very short toothbrush.

Socialists aren't known for their respect for the democratic process.
