'Best chance' is a very subjective term. None of them have a good chance, so I suppose Pollivere has the 'best' chance in that respect.

I think the Cons have yet to wake up to the fact that in the last election ~60% of the population voted for parties in the centre or on the left. PP's hard right rhetoric is probably only going to appeal to a percentage of the 40% that voted for the right. I foresee yet another electoral loss for the conservatives with PP at the helm.

I saw a poll recently that said Charest is the best liked amongst Canadians, while Pollievre is best liked amongst conservatives.

So I guess if the CPC only cares about winning over CPC voters, they should go with Pollievre, but if they want a chance to win an election, they should probably go with Charest.

Let's hope they go with Pollievre so we don't get another CPC government anytime soon.

Charest was bought by China. Paid in full. But I agree, he is the best choice given the limited talent pool.

Pierre isn't even the best of the worst.

The CPC is not a meritocracy.

‘I’ll just have to keep doing what legions of other folks like me do: Sigh and vote Liberal.’ Stephen Harper endorses Pierre Poilievre, plus other letters to the editor for July 27

Poilievre has the best chance to bury Charest’s career in federal politics which is Steve’s immediate concern.
