Canadian
What's this have to do with the CBC?
They only report on Canadian casualties. Been that way since Lorn Green was the voice of doom in WWII, or was that WWI..?
Oh I get it.

So you would be happier then if the CBC ignored Canadian casualties altogether?

Well I've often wondered why they concentrate on national casualties so much in a war that killed 50 soldiers who all volunteered for a dangerous job. But when twice that many are Murdered in winipeg in that same time it isn't newsworthy, or as tragic.
In fact 600 people are killed across canada every year, but when do they make the front of every paper. Almost never.
Pickton alone killed about as many as have died in Afghanistan.
Could it be that CBC/MSM's want the mission in Afghanistan to look bad and if it looks worse in winnipeg they don't want to talk about it much or people might want to fix our mamby pamby legal system.

Actually, the Canadian military doesn't release enemy kill, the CBC doesn't report it because they don't have any numbers, just speculation.

Seems to me they kill hundreds, thousands of Taliban yet they keep coming back....Wonder what WWI and II were like if the Germans, although defeated, kept coming back and back.
These people need to help themselves as others can't do it for them but others can help and guild them. It seems to me the Afghanistani's don't want to help themselves or don't care either way if the Taliban were there or not. The Taliban won't go away simply because their government is gone.
Actually, I din't want to dig to hard agaist the CBC, more show that we are being effective against the enemy, not just taking casualties.
IMHO- The CBC does have the collective attitude that this is the same as Iran and we can't win, nor should we. It's always good to see another perspective.

Actually, Harper gave the right to the families to not have the media present at Trenton. I was pleased to see that the families of the 6 soldiers who recently died opted to give the media the boot.
